As part of my Master of Environment degree, I wrote a thesis that explores the impacts of an Indigenous cultural gathering along the Northwest Pacific Coast on the Heiltsuk Nation of Bella Bella, British Columbia. To complete this work, I used participatory video and qualitative interview methods. As part of this project, I also co-directed a documentary film on Tribal Canoe Journeys called ‘Glwa: Resurgence of the Ocean-Going Canoe.’
